Craftsman Homes are an architectural style, inspired by the American Arts and Crafts movement, which included interior design, landscape design, applied arts, and decorative arts. The Craftsman Home period began in the last years of the 19th century. The architectural style was most widely-used in small-to-medium sized single-family homes from about 1905. The Craftsman style became known alternatively as “bungalow”. Craftsman bungalows are relatively modest. They’re small and easy to care for, which made their design particularly attractive to hardworking homeowners.
